Your Tikchik Narrows Lodge Hosts
Bristol Bay, Alaska
We are committed to providing a level of luxury service not ordinarily found at an Alaskan fishing lodge especially one located in the Alaska wilderness of Bristol Bay. At Tikchik we go above and beyond to add that special touch to your stay. Whether it means flying extra miles to show you a grizzly bear, flying an extra trip to accommodate a special fishing request or having our chef cook your fish just the way you like it, we are here to make your trip memorable.
Your smallest needs are important to us. Our staff is trained to anticipate your needs and desires. Tikchik has the highest staff to guest ratio of any lodge in Alaska so that every thing down to the smallest detail is taken care of. Our goal is for every guest to leave Tikchik totally satisfied with the desire to return to our very special angling and wilderness paradise.

Andy Angstman
Andy Angstman was born and raised in Bethel, Alaska, about 100 miles west of the lodge. Andy will be working alongside Bud this summer to learn the operation. Our management team, including manager of hospitality Carol Smith, head guide Adam Franceschini, and Chief Pilot Steve Larsen, will be in place this season for a smooth transition.
Andy’s family has had a cabin on Chauekuktuli Lake for nearly 20 years. Chauekuktuli is the next lake upstream from Tikchik, and is familiar to Tikchik anglers who have fished the Allen River or Shadow Bay. Andy has fished and flown throughout Wood-Tikchik State Park and Togiak National Wildlife Refuge for decades, and has wanted to be a part of Tikchik for many years. He has been in our Anchorage office most of the winter working and learning more about the lodge. He and his family are committed to keeping Tikchik the same operation that has been so successful over the years.
